Biography:
Monica Coahla Schanke Flakk was born in the southern part of Norway in 1984.
She expresses herself through series of images that is based on a word or a sentence with a message. She divides the sentence so that each image in the series contains a word that fills the entire sheet.
The words are camouflaged by her use of patterns that create depth.
She also uses human anatomy, putting different parts of it together so that something new is created, often in the form of animals.
Her only tool is black felt-tip pens of different thickness, and she draws on almost any paper that absorbs the ink.
